The head coach of the Nepal national football team, Abdullah Almutairi, announced his resignation. He wrote on social media (Facebook) that he will resign from ANFA.
Coach Almutairi said that because of Pankaj Nembang, ANFA’s senior vice president, he is about to resign. In April last year(2021), the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) appointed Al-Mutairi, A pro licensed coach from Kuwait, as the head coach.
Abdullah accused ANFA’s senior vice president of playing tricks on him. He told Nepali fans that Pankaj Nembang, senior vice president of ANFA, showed his drama past three weeks, which is why he decided to leave the football team.
He also added that senior vice president Nembang would be happy after he resigns from the coach of Nepal national football team. Under Abdullah Almutairi’s coaching, Nepal played 3 World Cup 2022 qualifiers matches. Similarly, Nepal also played one friendly against Iraq in his first match of international duty.
