Nepal Women’s Football Team at the 2024 Summer Olympics
Nepal will be participating in the Women’s Football Asian Qualifiers for the Olympics, which is scheduled to be held in Paris in 2024. The country from South Asia has been placed in Group ‘C’ of the Qualifiers tournament. According to the official draw announced by AFC, Nepal is in Group ‘C’ of the Qualifiers tournament.
In Group C, Nepal is with Afghanistan, Vietnam, and Palestine. The first round of matches will run from April 3 to 11. In the first round, there are 7 groups made up of 26 teams. The winning team from each group advances to the second stage. The goal for each team is to secure a spot in the second round of the qualifiers.
In the second round of the Olympic Qualifiers, 12 nations will be divided into three groups. The winners and runners-up from each group will advance to the final round of the Qualifiers where they will have the opportunity to secure a spot in the Olympics.
In the third round, four teams will compete in a home-and-away format and the top two teams will qualify for the Olympics. Previously, Nepal’s Women’s Football team reached the second round of the Olympic Qualifiers.
