Legendary striker of Nepal football team Jumanu Rai is waiting for a happy farewell from ALL Nepal Football Association (ANFA). Rai, who made his debut for Nepal against Brunei in 2005, has been out of the national team since 2015.
Jumanu has 11 international goals for Nepal. He is the third-highest goal scorers for Nepal behind Hari Khadka and Nirajan Rayamajhi. Despite being away from the national team, he is playing club football. Rai plays for Nepal Police Football Club. Despite being 36 years old he played 2076’s Martyrs Memorial A Division League with the club. 36 years old Jumanu Rai also scored a hat-trick against Friends Club in the League of 2076(2019-20) and made Nepal Police Club into the National League.
Jumanu Rai’s last goal for Nepal came in a 2-1 win over India in SAFF Championship 2013. 2013 SAFF Championship was hosted by Nepal at Dasarath Stadium and Halchowk Stadium in Kathmandu.
Jumanu Rai who played for Nepal National team for more than a decade is waiting for a happy farewell. He has given a lot of contributions to Nepali football. ANFA the football governing body of Nepal should give him the happiest and deserving farewell.
