Nepali football sensation Sabitra Bhandari’s team, En Avant Guingamp, endured a heavy 6-0 defeat in their first match of the 2024/25 French Women’s League season against Paris FC. This marked Sabitra’s second season with the club, and while she played the entire match as a striker, Guingamp struggled against a dominant Paris FC side.
The match was decided early, with Guingamp conceding five goals in the first half alone. Despite improving defensively in the second half, they let in one more goal, sealing the comprehensive loss.
Bhandari, one of Nepal’s top football exports, will look to bounce back in the upcoming matches as the season progresses.
