ANFA Disciplinary Committee Penalizes Clubs and Officials for Breaching Rules in Nepal’s A Division League 2023

The ANFA Disciplinary Committee has taken action against five clubs and officials for various disciplinary breaches in the ongoing Martyr’s Memorial A Division League 2023 in Nepal.

Sankata Club has been fined Rs 10,000 for delaying the start of their match against APF Football Club on April 16 (Match 60) due to a dispute over goalkeeper jersey. This delay affected the live broadcast of the match. Meanwhile, APF Football Club has been fined Rs 5,000 for delaying the second half of the same match by two minutes. APF club official Jibesh Panday had entered onto the pitch, which resulted in the delayed restart of the match.

APF official Panday has been suspended for eight matches and fined Rs 10,000. This was for manhandling fourth official Gyan Bahadur Moktan in their match against Machhindra Football Club on April 19 (Match 67). The physical altercation has resulted in the action as per the FIFA Discipline Code Chapter (2), Section (1L).

Disciplinary Committee takes action against Sankata, Machhindra, Khumaltar and APF

FC Khumaltar has been fined Rs 10,000 for vandalizing chairs in the dressing room. This was after their match against Machhindra Football Club on April 11 (Match 51). Khumaltar had lost the match 7-3 against the defending champions at Chyasal Stadium.

Machhindra Football Club has been fined Rs 10,000 for attempting to attack referees after their match against New Road Team. This match was played on April 15 (Match 58), which was drawn 1-1. The reasons for the attack are unclear, but the behavior was deemed a breach of discipline.

ANFA Disciplinary Committee has taken action against various disciplinary breaches, including delaying matches. Similarly, manhandling officials, vandalizing property, and attempting to attack referees, resulting in fines and suspensions for the clubs and officials involved.
