Vincenzo Alberto Annese, the new head coach of Nepal’s national men’s football team, was introduced at a press conference at Dasharath Stadiu. He expressed his excitement about the opportunity to lead the team and his desire to explore the potential of Nepali football.
Coach Annese plans to field young, energetic players with a new strategy to improve the team’s performance. He also believes that Nepali football has many talented young players who just need more experience.
When asked if he would call players who had left the country to play for the national team, he explained that he would prefer to call players whom he had seen play, rather than those who went abroad to play for amateur teams. Similarly, his goal for his one-year tenure as coach is to win and bring about changes to achieve those wins, but he acknowledged that it will take time.
