Nepal 4-1 Syria: Nepal Triumphs Over Syria – WAFF

In the first match of Group B, Nepal secured a notable victory over Syria with a final score of 4-1. Nepal dominated the first half, netting three goals before the break.

Amisha Karki opened the scoring, followed by Anita Basnet’s impressive corner kick goal. Sabitra Bhandari extended Nepal’s lead with a well-executed goal.

However, Syria managed to pull one back with a free kick converted by Nor Mostafa just before halftime. In the second half, Nepal sealed the match with another goal from Rekha Pudel, securing a comfortable win.

Despite the victory, Nepal’s head coach Rajendra Tamang expressed dissatisfaction with the team’s performance, citing difficulties in adjusting to the strong wind in the stadium.

However, he remains optimistic about improvement in the upcoming matches and extended gratitude to the supporters who cheered the team on at the stadium.
