The schedule for the ANFA Women’s League, set to begin on Bhadra 16 (September 1), has been officially released today.
In the opening match, Koshi Province will face off against Waling Municipality, setting the stage for an exciting competition.
10 Teams Competing
This year’s league will feature 10 dynamic teams:
- APF Football Club
- Tribhuvan Army Club
- Nepal Police Club
- Chandrapur Municipality
- Waling Municipality
- Koshi Province
- Sudurpaschim Province
- Karnali Province
- Sankata FC
- Bagmati Youth Club
These teams will compete in a single round-robin format, with 45 matches scheduled for the first round.
Grand Opening and Multiple Venues
The league will kick off with a grand opening ceremony at Dasharath Stadium, with additional matches hosted at Chyasal Stadium and ANFA Complex.
Path to the Championship
The top five teams from the initial round will move on to the Super League, where they will compete in a more intense double round-robin format. The champion will be crowned after a series of knockout matches, including Qualifiers, Eliminator, and the final.
ANFA’s Support for Women’s Football
To support the teams, ANFA has provided each participating club with Rs 700,000 for preparation, reinforcing its commitment to women’s football.
