
ANFA Women’s League is set to kick off on September 1 (Bhadra 16), marking an exciting new chapter in Nepali football. The official confirmation came after a productive meeting held at ANFA Complex in Satdobato, where ANFA General Secretary Kiran Rai and CEO Indraman Tuladhar addressed the participating clubs and shared crucial details about the upcoming tournament.
10 Teams Battle for Glory
In total, 10 dynamic teams will compete in this year’s league:
- APF Football Club,
- Tribhuvan Army Club,
- Nepal Police Club,
- Chandrapur Municipality,
- Waling Municipality,
- Koshi Province,
- Sudurpaschim Province,
- Karnali Province,
- Sankata FC, and
- Bagmati Youth Club
These teams will vie for glory in a thrilling single round robin format, with 45 matches scheduled for the first round.
Grand Opening and Multiple Venues The league is set to kick off with a grand opening ceremony at the iconic Dasharath Stadium. To ensure maximum fan engagement, matches will also be hosted at Chyasal Stadium and ANFA Complex.
Road to the Championship The top five teams from the initial round will advance to the Super League, where they will compete in a more intense double round-robin format. The ultimate champion will be crowned after a series of knockout matches, including Qualifiers, Eliminator, and the grand finale.
ANFA’s Commitment to Women’s Football Demonstrating its commitment to women’s football, ANFA has provided each participating team with a substantial sum of Rs 700,000 for preparation.
