
Nepal APF Football Club, primarily composed of players from the Nepal national women’s football team, has arrived in Malaysia to compete in the qualifiers for the AFC Women’s Champions League 2024/25 season. The team is under the guidance of Coach Rajendra Tamang and is aiming to secure one of the remaining four spots in the prestigious tournament, which will feature 12 top teams from across Asia.
APF Football Club has been drawn into Group C, where they will face tough competition from Uzbekistan’s Nasaf Football Club and Malaysia’s Sabah Football Club. Only the group winner will earn a place in the final tournament, joining the eight teams that have already qualified.
The journey begins with a crucial match against Nasaf Football Club on August 25, followed by a decisive game against the host team, Sabah Football Club, on August 28. With a squad filled with national team players, Nepal APF is determined to showcase their strength and secure a historic spot in the AFC Women’s Champions League.
This tournament represents a significant opportunity for Nepalese women’s football, as success in Malaysia could see the team competing at the highest level of club football in Asia.
