Nepal’s Remaining matches in World Cup Qualifiers fixed


Nepal World Cup Qualifiers 2022;
New match schedules for the Qatar FIFA World Cup 2022 and China AFC Asian Cup 2023 qualifiers have been set. The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Committee has approved a new schedule for the game, which has been postponed due to the corona virus.

The new games schedule for the second stage of the competition has been confirmed and to be held before 15 June 2021. According to the new schedule, the 6th and 7th match will be played in March 2021. Similarly, the 8th and 9th matches will take place by June.

After the second phase is completed in June, the third phase will begin in September 2021. According to AFC, the selection phase will be completed by March 2022. Nepal now has three home games left to play in the qualifiers.


Gorkhali will compete with Chinese Taipei, Australia and Jordan at Dasarath Stadium. Nepal has only 3 points in the Group B of the qualifiers. Nepal’s only win came against Chinese Taipei in second match, Anjan Bista’s two goals helped Nepal register a win the Qualifiers.

Nepal World Cup Qualifiers journey: lost 4 matches in the Qualifiers, 2 against Kuwait 7-0 and 1-0. Australia defeated Nepal 5-0 in Canberra Stadium and Nepal also lost 3-0 against Jordan in their home ground.
