Nepal Secures Second-Round Spot in 2026 World Cup Qualifiers

Nepal’s football team advances to the second round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, triumphing over Laos with a 2-1 aggregate score. The first leg saw a 1-1 draw in Nepal’s home ground, followed by a crucial 1-0 victory for Nepal in the second leg at Laos.

Nepal is now placed in Group H, alongside UAE, Bahrain, and Yemen, as they gear up for the next phase of qualifiers commencing in November 2023. Each team will face the others twice, once at their home ground and once away, totalling six matches.
